Scott Janney for State Senate
Real change doesn’t come from career politicians. It starts with trust. I listen, speak plainly, and work with people to turn good intentions into real, measurable results.

I’m asking for your support so I can fight for:
Public trust in elections is the foundation of democracy. We should ensure that every eligible voter can cast one secure ballot and that every legitimate vote is counted promptly and accurately. Pennsylvania can strengthen confidence in our elections through transparency, voter ID, and consistent standards. We need to get back to a more secure and clearly defined system of absentee ballots and move away from unrestricted mail-in voting.
A strong nation depends on secure borders and an immigration process grounded in law, order, and respect for those who play by the rules. Enforcing immigration laws protects jobs and strengthens communities. Generations of immigrants who came here through the legal process helped build our nation. Pennsylvania deserves policies rooted in both compassion and common sense—welcoming those who come legally and enforcing laws that keep communities safe.
A pro-growth, America First approach works best when state government supports efforts to build an economy that improves life for working Americans. By simplifying rules and streamlining processes, government can help young people start careers, support mid-career workers, and strengthen the middle class. When government operates efficiently and responsibly, businesses invest, wages rise, and families keep more of what they earn.
Pennsylvanians deserve to keep more of what they earn. Whether working, running a small business, or living on retirement income, lower taxes strengthen families and fuel economic growth. Responsible budgeting that controls spending and protects essential services keeps Pennsylvania competitive without overburdening taxpayers.
Pennsylvania’s natural resources can drive growth, lower energy costs, and create high-quality jobs. Oil, gas, coal, and timber can be developed responsibly to fund education, infrastructure, and essential services without raising taxes. We can protect the environment while supporting the workers and industries that power our economy.
Freedom of speech, freedom to publish, to assemble, and to worship are among America’s most essential liberties. No one should be silenced or punished for expressing constitutionally protected views. Open dialogue strengthens democracy, even when disagreements exist.
Every child is unique, and parents know their children best. My own path—from struggling with reading to earning advanced degrees—was possible because my parents sought the right support. Too many families are trapped in underperforming schools. We must partner with parents and expand access to quality education through public, private, and hybrid options so families can choose what works best.
Safe communities depend on trust between citizens and law enforcement. Officers deserve proper training, adequate resources, and public support. Balanced policies must keep violent offenders off the streets while protecting civil liberties and ensuring fair, transparent justice for all communities.
Law-abiding citizens have the right to protect themselves and their families. Responsible gun ownership and strong enforcement against violent criminals can coexist. Pennsylvania’s traditions of hunting and self-reliance remind us that rights come with responsibilities.
Fairness and safety matter in women’s sports. Female athletes deserve a level playing field and access to private, respectful facilities. Protecting the integrity of women’s sports ensures equal opportunity for girls and women to compete and succeed.
